The top winter accessories that will keep us warm this season

[ad_1]

Brrr- turn on the heat, get your electric blankets going and pull another layer of people, it’s cold outside! The coolest months of the year are just around the corner and now that Christmas is over and dusty, those low temperatures are suddenly no longer so magical. Fortunately, balaclavas have a moment this season and we will forever stand for style + comfort + warmth rolled into one, thank you very much – there won’t be bare legs on these pieces in the name of Fashun!

From berets to hats, mittens to Ugg mini boots (iykyk), there are endless ways to spice up your coat and thermal leggings look this winter and outfit them in a way that SJP would be proud of. Add a hat, scarf, gloves, and of course a mask to your daily lewk and see how easy it is to dodge that ex that now you’d rather not see from across the Sainsbury’s fruit and vegetable aisle. What did we say again about comfort and practicality !?

I feel like I’m in the UK. Every year I forget how cold it can be, then suddenly it’s January and my fingers freeze every time I leave the house. I actually took a couple of these items out for the winter already, I couldn’t resist jumping into the ultra-mini UGG boot trend after seeing how good they looked after a workout (I think that too they great for travel). Azurina makes beautiful personalized accessories and this scarf is SO soft! Invested in some North Face “e-tipped” gloves, they are pretty thin so I can slip them in my tiny handbags. Cashmere socks are such a treat and they really make a difference in terms of warmth, perfect if, like me, you always have cold feet when you go to bed. Berets seem to be the new beanies, I’m not sure I can still sit them right on my head but I’ll try!

Azurina, brown blanket scarf, € 35
Oliver Bonas, cashmere blend bed socks, € 24
ASOS, The North Face Etip Recycled Gloves In Beige € 35
ASOS, ASOS DESIGN wool baskets in stone, £ 10
UGG, CLASSIC ULTRA MINI BOOTS, £ 125

I live in the winter with a good accessory to brighten up all the cloudy thermals and layers galore, and this year some real gems are online! We shared some balaclavas at a Zoella post earlier this fall and I’ve been wondering if I’m cool enough to wear one ever since. As the temperatures keep dropping, it’s a must for practical reasons! I urgently need gloves as this girl has severe circulatory problems and my hands have been COLD lately. I love these kitsch gloves!

Weekday, Disa balaclava, £ 18
ASOS, COLLUSION unisex green plaid scarf, £ 15.99
Icewear, MAGNEY HAND-KNITTED WOOL MITTENS, € 35
Oliver Bonas, Disco Nap Blue Velvet hot water bottle, € 26

It’s that time of year when I’m strangely into berets again and Emily in Paris, season 2, is only partly to blame. In the winter months I tend to go for cozy layers and cozy accessories because I’m a beautiful person when I’m warm. I’ve dreamed of buying these Birkenstocks for far too long so I’m taking that as a sign that I need these glorified slippers in my life. I also linked a pair of sheepskin gloves and a thick scarf because no one over 30 likes a cold neck and frozen phalanges when out and about.

New Look, beret made of dark brown wool blend, € 14.99
Wolf & badger, SHEPHERD, 49 €
Office, BIRKENSTOCK Boston Clogs M Cocoa R, € 70
Arket, checked wool scarf, € 69

You can’t go wrong with some quality winter accessories to keep you warm this winter! For a pop of color I’ve linked a cozy purple scarf from ASOS, touchscreen gloves are a lifesaver when it’s freezing cold but you have texts to respond to. I have linked a really bright green hat from Mango, which in my opinion will look so cool with many outfits and last but not least, thermal socks are a must-have under boots in winter, they keep you so much warmer.

ASOS, recycled blend scarf with unhemmed edges in purple, £ 12
ASOS, black touchscreen gloves, £ 5
Mango, knitted hat, £ 15.99
Marks & Spencer, 3-pack of thermal ankle socks, £ 12

I wish I had the head for a beret. I’m half French, it should fit me, but it just doesn’t fit, so I grab bobble hats and beanies in winter. I bought a couple of North Face boots this year and they were an absolute godsend on the cold days. I have the feeling that as long as my head and feet are warm, everything else goes by itself!

Arket, classic hat, 35 €
& Other Stories, fuzzy mohair hat, € 29
Oliver Bonas, pom beanie hat made of faux fur in green & pink, 25 €
The North Face, WOMEN’S THERMOBALL ™ ANKLE BOOTS, € 100
